Making the first phone call to a therapist can be difficult. But the decision to seek mental health treatment is a positive step toward improving emotional health and overall quality of life.
Daily life is hectic and it can be hard to find time for self-care. Often, so much time and energy is spent on meeting the needs of others that it’s easy to feel lost in the shuffle. Psychotherapy offers a unique opportunity to disengage from the stress of everyday living and shift your focus back onto your own emotional needs.
I believe the relationship between therapist and client is the most important part of therapy. I work to provide a warm and welcoming space for my clients. A positive relationship with your therapist is the first step on the path to self awareness and healing.
I am a New York State Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
I earned my Master of Social Work degree at New York University, graduating in 2004. I worked at various clinics in Manhattan and Long Island before opening my private practice in Rockville Centre, NY.
I provide individual psychotherapy for adults and adolescents ages 15 and up.
Parents of clients under the age of 18 are an important part of their child’s treatment and will be asked periodically to meet with me privately, outside of their child’s regularly scheduled session time.
Areas of specialization include:
Parents of Preemies
Parents of Children with Special Needs
Parents of Medically Involved Children

Insurance Plans Accepted
Many plans cover psychotherapy services provided by an out-of-network provider. Please call the customer service number on the back of your insurance card to determine if this is an option for you. If so, I can provide monthly statements for you to submit directly to your insurance company for reimbursement.
If you must cancel, please notify me at least 24 hours in advance. I charge a cancellation fee of $150 for sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours notice. Exceptions are made for emergencies.
Our sessions are confidential. I will never share information about your treatment with anyone without your written consent.
There are some exceptions to the privacy rules:
If the client poses a danger to self or others, emergency personnel will be contacted.
If there is evidence or suspicion of child or elder abuse, authorities will be contacted.
Health insurance companies may request psychotherapy notes, although this is rare. In the event a request is made, I will obtain written consent from you prior to disclosing any information.
Email/Texting: Please limit email and texting to scheduling issues only.
Social Media: I am unable to use social media platforms to communicate.
Faxes/Scanning: In the event that I need to fax or scan information to share with your health insurance company, I will make every effort to ensure that your personal information is protected.
In the event of a life-threatening emergency, please do not email or text me. Call 911 for assistance.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to me. I am happy to answer any questions you may have.
